What is the MCS Scheme
Microgeneration Certification Scheme MCS

MCS refers to the Microgeneration Certification Scheme. It is a requirement of the Domestic RHI scheme that all heating systems are certified by MCS. MCS certifies both products and installation companies to help ensure that Microgeneration products are installed to a high standard. MCS is an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme supported by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), formerly known as the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC)

Only TrustMark Registered Businesses can carry out work for the Green Homes Grant. This is to provide quality assurance to householders that the work will be completed to accepted standards.
TrustMark Scheme Providers commit to meeting the Framework Operating Requirements, and ensuring their Registered Businesses maintain required standards of technical competence, customer service and trading practices.

Green Homes Grant
What it is
The government's Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme allows homeowners and residential landlord to apply for a voucher towards the cost of installing energy efficient improvements to their home.
What it covers
Vouchers will cover two-thirds of the cost of eligible improvements, up to a maximum of £5,000 or £10,000 if the household is on low income or certain benefits. Customers must redeem the voucher and ensure improvements are completed by 31st March 2022.
When it runs
The scheme runs until the end of March 2022 and the customer must redeem the voucher and ensure works are completed by this deadline.
